After their first big hit Saints Row, which was one of the first third person shooter for the Xbox 360 console, THQ and Violation are bringing it back in the form of Saints Row 2.

Saints Row 2 is said to be set on the same map of Saints Row, but with new areas to explore making it allot bigger. The cities that you see in the first Saints Row, will remain basically the same but with the same alterations that you could expect to see in a busy city after ten years.

It has been confirmed that it will have a story mode Co-op with will support drop in and drop out players, however this Co-op will be limited to two players. The multiplayer aspect of the game has not been forgotten and will included and improved, but it is unknown if the old multiplayer modes will be included because the multiplayer is said to be open world, much like GTA IV

THQ has announced that they are delaying the game by about 2 months. This means that instead of the gamer being released in august, it will now be released on the 14th October.
It has been stated that the reason for this delay is "due to product quality and marketing considerations"
This means that they are working on making the game better with things like explosions that happen when you blow things up like a petrol station, and that the end result actually looks like it has been blown up.
As long as they actually stick to this and the end product is a really good game then we are happy that they are taking extra time to 'perfect' different aspects of the game.
